Cardiff city will try to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2021-22 season as they compete Millwall in South Wales on Saturday afternoon.
The Bluebirds are unbeaten in four games in all competitions this season and are in ninth place after three championship games, while Millwall is three points worse in 19th place.
Prediction for this match
After a slightly disappointing 1-1 draw at home with Barnsley on the opening weekend of the new season, Cardiff have since accumulated a respectable four points from two away games.
Mick McCarthyThe side’s were good value for their 2-0 win at Blackpool last weekend, followed by a dramatic 2-2 midweek draw at Peterborough United.
The Bluebirds looked dead and buried in a game they left by two goals in the last 10 minutes, just for Aden Flint‘s double to get an unlikely point.
City have been weak for 75 minutes but they still managed to avoid defeat and are one of seven teams not to have suffered defeat in the second division this season.
Millwall also remained undefeated and drawn in their first three games with Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers in the league, on either side of the EFL Cup win over Portsmouth.
However, the Lions failed during the week at home against London rivals Fulham Aleksandar Mitrovic and Fabio Carvalho‘s early goal in Den Den is enough for the guests.
Benik AfobThere was a belated header Gary RowettThe team are hoping, but Millwall has been second best throughout the game and can’t complain.
That loss pictures things differently as Lions fans will point out that they have been without a win in three league games this season and will have to correct it sooner rather than later.
The bad news for Millwall is that they have been without a win in eight league games away from Cardiff, going back to a 1-0 win in February 2005 which resulted in three red cards.

McCarthy has only made one change between league games this season but that could change here as his side have been bad for the most part against Peterborough.
Kieffer Moore has a few days left to get fit again and is fighting hard to get a start to the season in the first division.
Mark Harris and Ruby Colwill helped swing the game in Cardiff’s favor against Peterborough, and both will surely be on McCarthy’s mind to face Millwall too.
Rowett made a few changes to Millwall’s starting line-up last time by adding Mahlon Romeo and Ryan Leonard Per Danny McNamara and George Evans.
Romeo was replaced by during the break Matt Smith with the Lions chasing a way back into the game, and Rowett might well choose to line up a little differently on Saturday.
The visitors were without an injured couple Mason Bennett and Shaun Hutchinsonbut otherwise they have a full squad available for this trip to South Wales.
Cardiff City possible starting line-up:
Phillips; Morrison, Flint, Nelson; Ng, Pack, Vaulks, Bagan; Harris, Colwill; Moors
Millwall possible starting line-up:
Bialkowski; Ballard, Cooper, Wallace; McNamara, Kieftenbeld, Evans, Saville, Malone; Wallace, Afobe
Probability: Cardiff City 1-1 Millwall
These teams have drawn four of the six games they have played in the league this season, while the last seven championship games between them have all been even.
That includes a couple of 1-1 draws last season, a result that we can see at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.
